Gold boards make this book stand out. Filled with interesting recipes, included with most is a history of where and how the recipe came to be. It starts with Hickok steak, named after Wild Bill HIckok, for whom there is a short biography. Near the end is a wonderful section on recipes from our Pilgrim Fathers. Some writings are short, some longer, but all end with at least one recipe, except for the last few pages which are words of wisdome, such as how to make cigarette smoking safer.
