This slim volume of poetry by Carl Sandburg is a compilation of poems previously printed under other names. The topics include Children, Wind and Sea, Portraits, Birds and Bugs, Night, and End Thoughts. Each poem has a black & white illustration. Many of the poems take place in Illinois and Chicago in particular. These are listed in the acknowledgment. The binding is a deep blue which has darkened at the spine and the area around the spine where one would hold a book. The front has a silver quarter moon with corn hanging off of it. The silver lettering on the spine is lightened but legible. The spine ends are bent in and worn, as are the corners. ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo 8" - 9 3/4" tall; 135 pages
