The story of King Arthur and his Knights. The book begins with the coming of Arthur, through the adventures they had, to the supposed passing of Arthur. Still there was treachery as Sir Mordred caused letters to be written that looked like they came across the sea, saying that Sir Mordred was now King, since King Arthur was dead. King Mordred was the King of England and felt he could do what he wanted; he decided King Arthur should be no more. A great book, the cover is beautiful, illustrated in brilliant color.. It has wear at the top corners and a tiny worn spot on the back board at the top. There is another tiny spot on the top front board. It appears that the top and bottom edges of the paper were to be blue, as the sides of the vertical pages are. They have lightened and have a few spots on both top and bottom. The spine ends have very light wear. The illustrations are numerous. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. ; Illustrated Junior Library; B&W and Color Illustrations; Octavo (standard book size); 282 pages
