This is a volume from the series "Log Cabin to White House. " The book begins with his boyhood and describes the adventures, hobbies, and work throughout his life. He is spoken of as an author, legislator, field sportsman, soldier, reformer and executive. The last chapter, Words of Wisdom, has extracts from of his more well-known speeches. The front is fine, showing the White House against a gold background and Roosevelt as a soldier. The binding has moderate wear to all edges and the corners. The spine ends are bent; the spine is also illustrated. The ffep has a to/from writing and erasure marks at the top. Most of the book is damp stained including the frontispiece. All are stained at the top edge and down the right edge. The type is not affected and the stains do not show on all pages, but the back board appears to have been the origin of the stain.; 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall
