A Parents' Magazine Press "Good Reader" Book. Pieter Vanderloon was a very lucky man; he had a fine wife and six wonderful children. One morning at his corn mill he discovered there were four less kernals of corn than the day before. Two little mice and eaten them. He immediately went out to buy a cat for the mill, and came back with an elephant. When his wife expressed dismay, he said that the elephant was free, he only had to make a promise never to return it. Pieter soon finds out why! ! Unpaginated, end papers are decorated. The binding has minor wear at the bottom front corner, and the spine bottom. The jacket has wear at the corners and small tears at the spine ends. There is also a 1" tear at the bottom front and at the top front. In a new mylar cover. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
