Jim McKay was a sports announcer for ABC's My Wide World of Sports. He covered 35 countries and 45 states, and over 100 different sports. This book focuses on 1972. He includes the Olympics held in Oregon, the Indy 500m the U. S. And British Open golf championships, the fall of Jim Ryun and all of the heart-stopping action at the Olympics. That was the year eleven Israeli athletes were held as hostages and killed by Arab terrorists. Price is not clipped. Includes sixteen pages of photographs. 272 pages including index. This book is cloth bound; the inside front and back are missing tiny bits of paper that glue over the cloth but not enough to show the edge of the cloth. The jacket has one 1/2" tear on the back top, and two staple marks on the top front. No marks or tears noted otherwise. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
