The DJ is good; front scuffed, several small tears at the spine. the binding is fine; black with silver lettering on the front giving the title, and on the spine as well. The story takes place in a small southern city where class lines are clear. It begins with a romance between a native and a girl who was "from a different world." Neither the local citizens or her brother condone the relationship and problems ensue.
