The first free endpaper (blank) is missing, and a bit of the cloth from the spine shows. The spine is a bit loose, but all pages are tight. Two different types of paper were used so some of them are tanned, but most not. The corners show light wear. ; This volume discusses all aspects of marriage, and the home, from a 19th century point of view. Despite the age of the writing, some of the items discussed are quite timely. The lectures are from a religious point of view but contain practical, candid, and personally directed leanings. Some of the topics are Affections and Courtship, Marriage, Woman's Rights, The Model Wife, the Model Husband, Training Children, Heredity, Divorce, The Model Young Man, Mistakes of Young Men and so forth to Our Heavenly Home. Brown cloth binding with gold lettering; it is faint on the spine. ; Photographs; 12mo 7" - 7" tall; 227 pages
