This is a children's chapter book involving pirates, small mysteries, and other child fantasies. The binding is red cloth, with several specks of paint (tan) on the front and small lighter spots where the paint was likely removed. On the back there are a few small speckles, a small spot and a thin line of the same paint. Lettering in black, the corners and both ends of the spine are worn. 197 pages, there are spots on the first few pages, and a small side tear on page 106. The binding is tight; a gift inscription is written on the ffep, with a shadow over the writing that was probably a book plate. The shadow shows through to the back of the page. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
