An edition of Andersen's Fairy Tales retold so that they won't frighten children! This is a nice, tight book with especially nice illustrations. Stories included are: The Emperor's New Clothes; Five in One Pod; The Ugly Duckling; The Nightingale and so forth. There are seven stories in all, each illustrated. The binding has wear along the bottom front edge at the left and right; it is worn to white in both areas. On the face of the binding there is some wear about 2" away from the spine. The top corners are also worn. The back is a bright yellow with a few minor spots that won't go away. 64 pages, printed on thick paper. All of the pages are fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
