This is one of those books that you wish every child (and some adults) had. It is about being a friend and there's a nice little verse on the back that sums it up: To give advice is very nice, but friends can do much more. Friends should always help a friend. That's what friends are for! And this is illustrated over and over in this book using an injured elephant who needs a friend to DO something, not make suggestions. The illustrations are all on the recto side, with the text opposite. Pages are yellowed from age. The pages have no marks or writing except right inside where a child signed their name in pencil. The binding has the remainder of a sticker on the front, a bit of chipping at the top and bottom, and a 3/4" tear on the back. The front cover is a reprint of one of the colorful illustrations inside. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
