This three-volume set is in red cloth with gold titles. The titles on the spine are not bright but are very readable. Ingalls is the editor and contributor to these works, but many other scientists working with astronomy have made contributions also. Contact me if you wish a list of those individuals. These books give one every bit of information they need to make a telescope, and include numerous drawings and photos on each aspect, starting with Mirror Making. That is the beginning of Part I, which also includes the making of a Sun Telescope with a 100-foot Focal Length. As the text says, "This is not as ambitious as it sounds."
