Children were given pigs to raise, hoping to have the biggest pig at the Pai-Pai festival so they would win a prize. This festival was held once each year and was the biggest festival of all. It celebrated the birthday of the Buddhist god Matsu, who protected families and brought them good luck. The binding has light wear on the bottom corners and at the bottom spine. 46 pages, no marks or tears. On the title page there are 4 holes where the page was stapled twice. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
