This volume was printed for the Boy Scouts of America, and many of Lindbergh's comments are made to that audience. This book contains, mostly in the aviator's own words, the story of his various thrilling emergency parachute jumps, also an illuminating account of the flier's boyhood and a set of simple and complete instructions for building a flying model of the "Spirit of St. Louis. " Also has a glossary of aeronautic terms. Contains 32 full page photos with an additional loose photo, and the original price of $1.00 printed on the dust jacket. The binding is tight, but the orange boards of this book have some soil and something that looks like whitewash spilled on it, mostly on the back. The tips are lightly to moderate worn. The jacket has chips along the top and bottom, and several tears that have been repaired; now in a protective cover. A gift writing is present on the ffep.; 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall
