The cloth binding shows no wear except at the spine, where there is a vertical crease. The jacket is cracked along the spine and top. A piece of the spine is missing both top and bottom. 823 pages, no tears or marks found. Another 3 pages are devoted to expounding on the beginnings of Everyman's Library books. This abridgement of Copperfield has been simplified for a young audience, but keeps faithfully to Dickens' original text. The lively illustrations come from a series of animated classics.
