2 Chönz, Selina The Snowstorm
The corners and of the book are moderately worn. Each spine end is bumped; the top one shows wear. The boards are toned for at least an inch around the edges. The jacket has several tears. It is missing 2" of the spine and has other small pieces missing as well as several repaired tears. ; Originally written in German, this is a wonderful tale of a wintertime tradition: all the children decorate their sleds, and one day all come out to show and compare and sled together. Ursli gets Florina, his sister, to go into town for tassels from the weaver, despite the nonstop snowstorm. She hurries to return home before it gets dark, but suddenly the world goes black, and Ursli must go find his sister in the storm. Beautiful color and black & white illustrations. Half of the pages are full page color pictures and the text is surrounded by the black & white pictures. The dust jacket is in a protective cover. ; B&W and Color Illustrations; 24 pages

5 Lebar, Mary E Sh-H-H-H Pattibook 2
The back board is missing. ; This book has a red comb spine. It goes through making loud sounds and then the sh-h-h-h sound we all grew up with, in one form or another. They recommend that these be read aloud either at home or with a small group, and that the reader first imitate the sounds and then the sh-h-h-h. After the children know the book they will make the sounds on their own, and understand the reason for quiet. Color illustrations and very large print on heavy paper with the pictorial cardboard front. ; Pattibook; Vol. 2; Color Illustrations; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 17 pages

7 Piper, Watty; edited by The Bumper Book A Harvest of Stories and Verses
All corners and spine ends show significant wear. The pages are bright, but at the bottom close to the spine several of the first pages have a brown spot that looks like a match burn. The paper is not affected and one can see through the discoloring. Page 9 has a piece torn from the right corner, about 1 1/2" x 2 1/2". Doesn't affect the story, just illustrations on both sides. ; This is a wonderful collection of stories and verse, including: Wynken, Blynken and Nod, Animal Crackers, A Nonsense Alphabet, The Cupboard, The Monkey's House, The Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat, The Swing, and many others. The illustrations are very detailed. ; 4to 9" - 12" tall; 73 pages
