But certain small wild animals can also be kept successfully indoors as pets. Some kinds of frogs and toads, salamanders, snakes, lizards, turtles, spiders (ugh) , crayfish, hamsters, and so on. This is a practical book about such animals. It tells how to catch or buy them, how to provide suitable and attractive housing for them, the food they require and how to acquire it. The book also includes advantages and disadvantages to owning each pet. The binding has light wear at the corners and spine ends. The jacket has shelfwear at the top, mostly at the spine and corners with a few chips missing. The bottom has wear at the spine, and a 1/2" tear at the bottom. The jacket is the same as the book binding. 132 pages on heavy paper, no marks or tears. The last owners name is stamped lightly in the front. Price is not clipped. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
