4 Froud, Brian; Berk, Ari Goblins! : a Survival Guide and Fiasco in Four Parts
0810949415 / 9780810949416; This collaboration of Ari Berk (text) and Brian and Wendy Froud (art and 3D goblinizations) produced a truly odd and humorous volume. Throughout the book are wonderful 'photographs' of goblins and information about their habits, their history, and themselves. Unfortunately, some of the goblins got hold of the manuscript and in a big, red crayon changed some of the wording here, added some wording there, clearly attempting to make the most of themselves. Also included, luckily, is an anti-goblin device. 89 pages, including a checklist to determine if you have goblins. The binding is padded. Published without a jacket, fully illustrated in color. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

17 Sanfield, Steve The Feather Merchants and Other Tales of the Fools of Chelm
0531059588 / 9780531059586; This entertaining volume includes thirteen folk tales of The Fools of Chelm. In the town of Chelm, seven and seven are eleven. It's a matter of local logic. Also in Chelm, Berish the Shammes, so his feet shouldn't mar the beauty of any newly fallen snow while alerting merchants to the coming Sabbath, stands on a table and is carried aloft by four other Chelmites. Is that foolish? Master storyteller Steve Sanfield has listened with fond ear to the centuries-old echoes of a town "where kindness and sweetness and silliness" have dwelt side by side from the beginning. His first word to you is "enjoy, " and the people of Chelm will see that you do. His last words will linger long in your memory. 102 pages including a glossary and bibliography. Illustrations are pen and ink drawings. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
