The rest of the book is separated into categories such as meat, poultry, eggs, vegetables, cakes, cookies, pies and candies, cereals, and so on. There is also a section on party planning and picnics. All of the illustrations are clear and in most are in color. Published on heavy paper, this is a lovely cookbook to own, and was used originally in a cooking class. The prior owner's name is written on the fep and the outside vertical pages. There is a section where they include recipies for each area of the nation. There's even a recipe for sourdough bread! 720 pages, no tears, some pages near the end have a yellow mark at the bottom corner. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
