0595231039 / 9780595231034; Dorien K. Miles was first published in the fourth grade, when her poetry was included in a local newspaper. Since that time she has continued to write poetry, and this is one of a handful of books she has authored or co-authored. This is the story of Jonathan Hunter, who was a real soldier, but since all but the basic story of his life has been obscured by time, this is an historical novel and not a biography of his life. Miles inscribed this copy, and underneath her signature added "chaplain Bob's mom." 207 pages, the cover is laminated and that is coming up on the right edge of the front cover. The front bottom corner has light wear, and the spine tail is bumped, with a 1/4" tear. Near the top back there are three pages with red ink on the edge. There are a few ink spots on the front. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
