But the beauty is in the design - one gets the feeling that there is light all around because the small building is made of varying amounts of translucent glass. This book shows not only photographs of the beautiful finished product, but of the steps taken and drawings of the proposed museum. It is tucked into a corner over which there is a tall building, but it is not affected by the building, nor the 8 lanes of expressway traffic zooming past (there's an amazing photo of this!). It is meant to be a place of quiet contemplation. A beautiful book, an interesting read, and a striking museum are all contained in this volume. This 11 1/2" wide book is bound in grey cloth, and the heavy dust jacket folds over at the top and bottom, as well as the edges. 95 pages, including several full-color photographs which are marvelous! 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
