This rich anthology includes works by 93 authors. It is separated into sections entitled: The Man's Story, The American Dream, A Goodly Heritage, The Jungle, The Dust Which is God, The Masters, The Drama, Kitchen Bouquet, They Weren't Going to Die, and The Realm of Being. This volume includes over 150 self-chosen (by the 93 authors) and complete masterpieces, together with the reasons for their selections. The binding is fine. The bottom of the pages has a dark spot on them, but that is the only blemish to this book. The page tops are dark grey. 1,180 pages, includes an index by authors and an index by titles. Since the selections are of varied length, this is a good book to curl up with, except for the size. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
